A dynamic and supportive Primary School in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and passionate graduate to join their team as a SEN Primary Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in supporting children with SEND/SEN needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing support to class teachers within the classroom environment
- Assisting children with SEND/SEN needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Supporting pupils in and out of lessons, promoting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Monitoring and recording interventions to ensure effective support
- A hardworking graduate with strong academic credentials and a passion for learning
- Previous experience working with children and SEN/SEN needs, with a focus on developing emotional resilience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, teachers, and other support staff
- Experience working with non-verbal children and individuals with diverse needs
- Previous experience working 1:1 with children, with a focus on developing individualized support plans
- A supportive leadership team that prioritizes staff wellbeing and development
- Opportunities to work alongside Counsellors, Therapists, and Psychologists to provide comprehensive support
- A strong focus on developing emotional resilience in children, with a recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week
- Adaptations and designs to support SEN, including specific learning resources and materials
- A school located near a train station, with easy access to public transportation
