Experienced SEN Primary School Teaching Assistant

Academics is working with a friendly and successful Primary school in Westminster to recruit a teaching assistant to support a child with special educational needs.
The role involves working alongside a child in Year 1 who requires extra support to move around the school and access the curriculum. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide general academic support, assist with visual aids, and help the child move around the school if needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Support a child with a visual impairment and mobility needs
- Assist with academic tasks and provide visual aids
- Help the child move around the school
- Work alongside an experienced SENCo and participate in regular visits with therapists
This role is ideal for a graduate taking their first steps into education or an existing teaching assistant with a Level 3 SEN, Teaching Assistant, or childcare qualification. Full training will be provided.
Requirements:- Level 3 SEN, Teaching Assistant, or childcare qualification
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
