About the RoleThis fixed-term position involves teaching French language and literature at various levels, with a focus on replacing Professor Patrick McGuinness. As a Senior Language Tutor, you will teach undergraduate courses, contribute to translation and administration, and supervise essays.
Key Responsibilities:- Teaching French language and literature at various levels.
- Contributing to the teaching of set texts for the Preliminary Examination in French.
- Providing tutorials in French literature from the mid-19th C to the present day.
- Supervising extended or bridging essays as required.
- Native-level fluency in French.
- Good first degree in a relevant subject (language, literature, or linguistics).
- Experience in teaching French as a foreign language in higher education.
