Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team as a Coatings Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are carried out in accordance with the contract and will play a key role in maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and identify potential quality issues.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to develop and implement quality control plans.
  • Review and approve contractor performance against quality control plans.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of construction drawings, construction activities, and quality control plans.
  • Ensure that quality inspection records are taken and agreed before works are covered up.
Requirements
  • ICorr or NACE Level 2 Painting Inspection qualifications.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of the building industry, materials, trades methods, and legal requirements.
  • Excellent organisation, delegation, and communication skills.
  • Proven experience of working within a large construction team.
  • Good attention to detail when checking work and materials.
  • Able to establish appropriate working relationships with contractors.
Desirable
  • Experience in the installation and erection of large civil works and mechanical or electrical plant.
  • General understanding of the posts obligations under CDM Regulations.
  • Strong communication skills in English, and knowledge of French can be an advantage.
