About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Artist to join our animation team. As a Principal Technical Artist, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining animation tools and pipelines that meet the needs of our ever-growing animation team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop animation tools and pipelines in DCC and standalone contexts
  • Provide support for the animation team and collaborate with other teams to push engine features forward
  • Develop automated solutions to process data without user input
  • Work with the runtime and animation teams to diagnose and resolve unexpected issues affecting animators
Requirements
  • 8+ years of professional experience as a Technical Artist or similar role writing tools
  • Experience working through a full production cycle of a released game or equivalent experience working on long-term projects or toolsets
  • Strong understanding of coding UI using PySide or PyQt, including advanced features
  • Strong understanding of the underlying math that 3D animation systems utilize
  • Experience writing C++ and C# desktop applications
  • Experience working with package management and deployment systems (e.g. rez, pypi)
