Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Paramedic to join our practice team. If you are interested in working with us, we would be pleased to discuss an informal meeting.

Main Duties of the Job

We are looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Paramedic to work 2-8 sessions per week. Previous experience working in General Practice is essential.

We are very flexible with morning start/end times to suit the applicant. The workload is capped at a maximum of 14 patients per session, with no extras.

Ability to do GP supervised on-call days and home visits would be an advantage. Annual leave is 5 weeks pro rata.

We use the Vision clinical system and Docman, with full training given if required. Our team is supportive and friendly, with a 30-minute commute from Cardiff.

About Us

Nelson Surgery is a growing village practice with a team of 2 GP partners, 2 long-term locum GPs, and 2 practice nurses. We care for approximately 5,000 patients with excellent managerial and admin support.

Job Responsibilities

Main duties of the job include working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Paramedic, with a focus on minor illness qualification. Previous experience working in General Practice is essential.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Masters degree OR Post graduate diploma or degree for Advanced Practice Qualification OR RCN accreditation Qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber
  • Meets the standards for registered ANP working at advanced level Minor illness qualification
