The Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team in Surrey is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Social Worker to join their ranks. With a salary of up to £52,588 per annum, this permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and development.
About the TeamThe UASC Team provides essential support services to vulnerable children and families, working closely with local authorities, schools, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes. As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload, providing expert guidance and advice to less experienced colleagues, and contributing to the development of the team's practice and policies.
- Key responsibilities include conducting assessments and developing plans for safeguarding vulnerable children and adults, coordinating with other agencies to provide comprehensive support, and participating in case conferences and reviews.
- You will also be required to maintain accurate records, update databases, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's practice and policies.
A successful candidate will possess a degree or equivalent in Social Work, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
