Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

Company Overview

1st Step Solutions is a leading M&E Contractor supporting clients in the UK. We are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Specialist to join our team in Camberley.

Job Purpose

This role will be accountable for delivering the mechanical elements of projects. You will work under the guidance of a Project Manager and have responsibility for the successful completion of tasks allocated to you on a project.

  1. Ensure areas of responsibility allocated to you by the Project Manager are delivered on time, within budget to agreed standards.
  2. Identify risks and ensure mitigation measures are put in place.
  3. Effectively manage sub-contractors as well as team performance on the project by ensuring everyone reporting to you has clear roles and responsibilities.
  4. Support the Project Manager to ensure the project budget and costs are managed effectively for all services.
  5. Commissioning and final handover, take responsibility for activities allocated to you to ensure this is done effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. A Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. CSCS/IOSH/SMSTS certification.
  3. JCT D&B and NEC Contract Awareness.
  4. Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
  5. Good computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
  6. Awareness of health and safety requirements and the continual assessment/control of risk.
  7. Professional representation of the company with an organized and open approach to achieve project completion on time, safely, and to the project's margin expectations.
  8. Motivated leader who can inspire others to produce high-quality work and use these benchmarks to help maintain clients and secure new clients.
