North Lanarkshire Council offers a competitive hourly rate of £13.22 to £13.73 per hour for this part-time position.
A vital role in ensuring the safety of pedestrians, particularly children, when crossing the road.
This term time job provides an excellent work-life balance and opportunities for self-motivated individuals with good communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- To play a crucial role in maintaining road safety within the community.
- To provide a visible presence at designated school crossings, ensuring pedestrians can cross safely.
- To develop strong relationships with local residents, schools, and other stakeholders to promote road safety awareness.
Requirements:
- Excellent road sense and ability to work independently.
- Pleasant demeanor, politeness, and friendliness when interacting with the public.
- Ability to travel independently throughout designated areas as a Mobile School Crossing Patroller.
- Reliability, punctuality, and self-motivation to ensure the service is delivered efficiently.
