Young People Leaving Care Support Worker Opportunity

Semester is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Young People Leaving Care Support Worker.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing a range of services to young people in Oldham and Rochdale, including transporting them to appointments and offering ongoing support.

To succeed in this position, you will need to have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people leaving care.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 per annum, plus mileage, making it an attractive option for professionals looking to make a difference in their community.

Please note that while previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, it is not essential. What matters most is your passion for supporting vulnerable young people and your ability to adapt to our team's dynamic environment.

Key requirements include:

  • Strong Communication Skills: You must be able to effectively communicate with young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: The ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing circumstances is crucial.
  • Driving License and Business Insurance: A full UK driving license with business insurance is required for this role.
  • DBS Check: Having a current online DBS check is highly desirable.
