About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team in Salford Council. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to children and families across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build trusted relationships with children, young people, and families, ensuring their wishes, feelings, and beliefs are central to decision-making.
  • Engage in conversations that matter most to individuals, connecting them to wider networks of opportunity and support.
  • Respond quickly to crises and provide ongoing support until situations improve.
  • Keep in touch with children, young people, and families, taking a genuine interest in their well-being and making necessary adjustments.
  • Be ambitious, curious, and committed to learning and reflection.

  • A specialized 3-week induction period to get to know your colleagues and the Salford area.

  • Protected time for 1 training day per month, specifically for newly qualified Social Workers, alongside our training package for practitioners across all levels.
  • Protected caseloads reviewed monthly.
