About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our team of experts in environmental management and consultancy. As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering sustainable solutions for our clients, working on a wide range of projects across the UK and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the delivery of small to medium-sized projects, ensuring timely completion and exceeding client expectations.
  • Provide technical advice and direction on ecological aspects of client relationships.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for environmental challenges.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality ecological surveys and assessments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Requirements
  • Proven commercial and project management skills for small to medium-sized projects.
  • Knowledge of ecological principles, relevant environmental legislation, policy, and guidance.
  • In-depth knowledge of particular plant or animal groups and appropriate field survey skills.
  • Excellent reporting skills, with a proven track record in writing Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), Biodiversity Net Gain assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), and Ecology Chapters for Environmental Statements.
  • Basic experience in writing or assisting with project and/or plan-level Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA).
  • Ability to lead surveys and manage small survey teams.
