We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our team in the North West. This exciting opportunity will see you lead a multi-functional project controls team, working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Job Description

This Project Controls Manager role involves coordinating and leading estimating sessions to establish a realistic baseline cost, as well as managing risk assessments to support cost and schedule predictability. You will work closely with clients, principal contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and drive best value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Embed a robust breakdown structure integrating data from controls functions
  • Coordinate estimating sessions to agree on market-tested cost baselines
  • Lead planning sessions to compile master project schedules
  • Manage procurement processes, understanding key principles and prioritizing ordering materials
  • Stakeholder management, ensuring sign-off and regular progress updates
  • Guide and influence the principal contractor and client to drive delivery
  • Control costs through knowledge of conceptual estimating and contingency principles
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in controls delivery in major projects or programmes
  • Experience working in Hi-Tech & Manufacturing sectors
  • Leadership skills, with proficiency in software applications like Primavera (P6), Power BI, and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes
