About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is partnering with a market-leading group to add a qualified Management Accountant to their finance team. Key Responsibilities
  • Production of full monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Collaborating with the Financial Controller to review business processes, identifying opportunities for change and improvement
  • VAT & other government reporting
  • Monthly variance analysis of OPEX
  • Implementing and reviewing controls related to group risk management strategies
  • Assisting in supporting business intelligence software
  • Management of the small general accounting team
  • Ad-hoc projects
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience producing monthly management accounts in a complex multi-currency environment
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables), and analytical tools e.g. Power BI
  • Strong communication skills with financial and non-financial stakeholders, with line management experience beneficial but not essential
  • Adaptable, ambitious, and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively
  • Right to work in the UK, and a plan to reliably commute to Sutton
