GSL Education, a reputable educational institution based in Leicester, is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. As a full-time support professional, you will be working closely with a team of dedicated professionals to provide personalized support for young learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a variety of school settings.


This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and contribute to their academic and communicative development. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with SEN learners and possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to form new relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues.


The role requires a committed and enthusiastic attitude to work, with a passion for helping others. You will need to have knowledge of complex behaviors linked to Autism, Mental Health Needs, and Learning Difficulties to assist SEN students on a 1:1 basis with comprehending lessons and regular engagement in the classroom. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring students' progress and reporting to the class teacher.


To be successful in this role, you will need to have a clean and relevant DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate. If you do not already have one, GSL Education can assist with the application process. You will also need to have knowledge of behavioral management techniques and a degree in Psychology will be considered an advantage.

“Role Requirements:”



  • Prior experience working with SEN learners

  • Safeguarding certificate

The estimated salary for this position is £22,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
