Parking Enforcement Officer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Parking Enforcement Officer to join our team at Essential Employment. As a key member of our parking enforcement team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the free movement of traffic and rotation of car parking spaces within our Car Parks and on-street parking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide an efficient and effective service of parking enforcement to minimise vehicles parking in contravention, through the issue of penalty charge notices.
  • Work in accordance with the objectives and policies of our parking enforcement team.
  • Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of parking contraventions, using your knowledge of Road Traffic Law, Traffic Regulation Orders, and relevant legislation.
  • Issue penalty charge notices in accordance with our procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a high-quality service is provided to our clients and the public.
Requirements:
  • Hold a full clean driving licence.
  • Be conversant with Road Traffic Law, Traffic Regulation Orders, and relevant legislation.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be able to work a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, on a rolling 8-week rota, with weekend working (with enhancement) a mixture of early and late shifts between 7am and 9:30pm.
