We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to join our team at 1st Step Solutions in West London. As an experienced professional, you will be responsible for leading electrical project engineering activities on a large-scale M&E contract.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

This is a senior-level position that requires the ability to manage and coordinate all aspects of electrical project engineering, from design to commissioning.

  • Attend and host team meetings to ensure smooth project progress.
  • Lead and issue meeting notes for technical and progress workshop meetings.
  • Review tender information, including design drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules.
  • Deliver design and working drawings necessary to complete the project and identify any additional costs or programme delays.
  • Production and technical compliance checking of technical submissions against specifications and ER documents.
  • Produce package scoping documents.
  • Review and compliance check working drawings against specifications and ER documents.
  • Develop a commissioning strategy for the installation.
  • Manage procurement, value engineering, and better buying against tender allowances.
  • Programme works and sub-contract packages.
  • Produce and manage programmes.
  • Report to the Project Manager.
  • Manage installation and commissioning activities of assigned packages.
  • Handover documentation, including record drawings and test reports.
  • Ensure variation costs are advised to the Project Manager and QS.
  • Liaise with the project surveyor to assist the Project Manager with the monthly PFR report.
  • Quality control.
  • Risk control (programme and commercial).

Qualifications/Skills:

  • HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering or similar.
  • CSCS/IOSH/SMSTS certifications.
  • Experience working at a senior level on M&E commercial projects, ideally with full contract management responsibility.
  • Ability to accept responsibilities and achieve project objectives in a timely manner.
  • Good computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Awareness of health and safety requirements and ongoing risk assessment and control.
