Leonardo is seeking a highly skilled Chief Systems Engineer to join its Yeovil-based engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and building classified ICT products and solutions for defense, government, and public sector organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical work and small teams on the design, development, and testing of secure systems.
  • Implement security control measures, including enabling operating system lockdown controls.
  • Develop systems engineering artefacts, including documentation to support the delivery and maintenance of system solutions.
  • Provide specialist technical support to the business unit, supporting the project or wider programme.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience within a systems engineering or IT solution delivery role, preferably in a secure environment.
  • Strong all-round technical ability with an excellent working knowledge of network and systems infrastructure technologies.
  • Hands-on working knowledge and experience of Windows and Linux server installation and builds.
  • Virtualisation technologies including VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Workstation builds and deployments including Microsoft WDS and MDT.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Good working knowledge of the following Microsoft Products (e.g. Exchange, SQL, SCOM, ISA/TMG, IIS, SharePoint).
  • Practical experience of implementing security policies and system lockdowns including Microsoft Active Directory GPOs, application whitelisting/blacklisting, and device/media control.
  • Implementation and management of enterprise-class Patching/Update solution including Microsoft WSUS.
