Quality Manager Job Description

Advanced Medical Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team in Plymouth. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for leading the site quality function and ensuring the successful delivery of the Quality Strategy to meet corporate goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the site quality team to ensure compliance with cGMP, MDSAP, and MDR regulations.
  • Develop and improve the quality management system across the AMS Group.
  • Drive the execution and implementation of quality strategies.
  • Ensure site quality team members are well-trained and motivated.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for the site quality function.
  • Act as site management representative, as required.
  • Establish and manage quality improvement projects in accordance with company objectives.
  • Ensure adequate support for new product development, including quality deliverables and design control validation.
  • Maintain quality management system certification.
  • Continuously improve the quality management system.
  • Make decisions related to quality issues, root cause analysis, and remedial action.

Requirements:

  • BSc or equivalent in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Leadership experience in previous roles.
  • Proficiency in quality system regulations and ISO quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of the Medical Device regulation.
  • Proficiency in QA, manufacturing, validation, change control, and design control processes.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processor applications, and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to independently plan, execute, and problem-solve moderate to complex situations.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
