Job Title: Immigration Specialist

The Immigration Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the People & Culture team at Allianz Popular SL. This position requires a strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and systems, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the business to develop and implement performance improvement plans, employee relations, and operational workforce issues.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with managers and employees at all levels to provide guidance and support.
  • Support the People & Culture team with full employee lifecycle activities, from recruitment to exit.
  • Monitor, review, and update HR policies and Employee Handbook to ensure compliance with current legislation.
Employee Relations and Advisory:
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on best HR practice and HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist with employee relations and advisory matters, such as maternity and family-friendly processes, performance management, absence, disciplinary actions, grievances, and restructures.
  • Provide coaching and training to managers on effective employee relations practices, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Stay updated with employment laws and regulations, providing guidance to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
Regulatory/SMCR:
  • Provide registration and de-registration support for SMF and certified roles.
Other:
  • Use HR management information to highlight areas of concern or issue and to help influence proactive, positive steps to enhance company culture.
  • Participate in HR projects such as Performance Management, Employee Engagement, and Team Development, taking ownership of specific initiatives.
  • Respond to any data breach incident and Subject Access Request as per related policies.
  • Support the Country People & Culture team in day-to-day operations.
  • Manage or assist with relevant ad-hoc projects as required by the People & Culture Country Lead.
  • Partner with external immigration advisers to initiate and manage visa applications, ensuring compliance with immigration regulations.
  • Proven experience of working in a generalist HR/People and Culture role within a commercial environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word & Powerpoint.
Desirable:
  • Experience of SAP Success Factors.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations whilst working within a team.
