We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Technician to join Auto Skills UK at our Preston depot. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

Job Description:
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections in line with 'O' licence requirements
  • Perform repairs as necessary following initial inspection
  • Carry out general servicing and MOT preparation
  • Identify and diagnose faults
  • Update all required paperwork and databases

The ideal candidate will have a recognised apprenticeship experience and in-depth knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance. A commercial driving license is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections in line with ‘O’ license requirements.
  2. Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs as necessary following initial inspection, including general servicing and MOT preparation.
  3. Fault Diagnosis: Identify and diagnose faults, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with regulations.
  4. Paperwork and Databases: Update all required paperwork and databases, maintaining accurate records.

This role offers a competitive salary of £43,000 - £48,000 per annum (approximately £20.55 per hour) and an excellent benefits package, including ongoing training and development on new technologies.
