About the Role:
Frasers Group is a leading global retail business, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to join our Finance Team. As a Senior Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Director and Chief Accountant in the preparation of the Group's financial statements, including acquisitions and property accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquisitions Accounting: Own the accounting of the Group's many acquisitions under IFRS 3 Business Combinations and necessary disclosure in the Group and subsidiary financial statements.
- Liaise with Administrators and External Advisors: Liaise with Administrators and external advisors to ensure transactions are fully understood and documented.
- Present to Senior Management: Own and present the potential impact of acquisitions on the Frasers Group PLC financial statements to the Chief Accountant and Director of Finance to support the budgeting & forecasting process.
- Audit Process: Own the audit process of acquisitions, ensuring all appropriate documentation is provided to the auditors & queries answered in a timely manner.
- Group Financial Statements (IFRS): Review monthly Frasers Group PLC consolidation, including analysis of variances to forecast & prior year.
- Liaise with External Auditors: Liaise with External Auditors on audit queries during the year-end audit process.
- Support Complex Accounting Areas: Supporting the Chief Accountant with complex accounting areas, including share schemes, derivatives, and foreign subsidiaries.
- Property Accounting: Ownership of the accounting of the Group's property valuations and impairment accounting.
- Liaise with Internal and External Advisors: Liaising with internal and external advisors on valuations of properties to be included in the financial instruments and ensuring appropriate accounting in the Frasers Group PLC and subsidiary financial statements.
- Review Forecasts and Variances: Reviewing forecasts and variances throughout the year in cooperation with the property team.
- Audit Process: Own the audit process of property accounting ensuring all appropriate documentation is provided to the auditors & queries answered in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, over 3 years post qualified.
- Knowledge of Accounting Standards: Good knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS.
- Highly Motivated: Highly motivated and able to meet deadlines.
- Resilience: Shows resilience in the face of change, able to work in a fast-paced commercial environment where priorities are constantly changing.
