Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Manager to join our Construction team at Kier Group. As a key member of our Design team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting projects across various sectors, including Commercial, Public Sector, and Health.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver design information in accordance with the agreed design programme and deliverable schedule.
- Ensure our appointed design consultants meet their obligations, reviewing returns to ensure compliance with standards and brief.
- Provide design input at both preconstruction and construction stages of projects.
- Produce design programmes, design scopes, design responsibility matrices, appointments, and schedules.
- Attend and chair necessary meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience in delivering high-value, complex design work from the main contractor's perspective.
- Ability to organize, plan, programme, and manage workloads.
- Experience with site/contract procedures is an advantage.
