Executive Director of Portfolio Management

The Goddard School of Rochester Hills, MI seeks a highly skilled Executive Director of Portfolio Management to support the Operational Excellence Delivery Enterprise Portfolio Management team. This role will play a key role in the unified PMO construct and internal investment governance model enabling operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project approval governance, including Governance Board review, PCR management, and technology lifecycle alignment.
  • Develop business cases for change requests and net new investment requests.
  • Manage portfolio health and reporting.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Professional experience in a CRO environment, ideally with global corporate CRO projects.
  • Excellent program/project management and control skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages, including Teams, Excel, MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Aptitude to interface with all levels of staff, including top management.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex portfolio programs in healthcare, consultancy, or contract research organization.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and a background in a functional business area, such as human resources, finance, accounting, marketing/sales, or clinical studies.
  • Experience running an IT PMO is beneficial.
  • Advanced proficiency in corporate finance.
  • Line management experience is required.
  • Experience with organizational change management.

Education:

A bachelor's degree in a science-related field, management, or business administration, with an advanced technical degree or MBA is desirable.
