About the Role

Acorns Children's Hospice Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Therapist to join our Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the specialist therapy team in the management, development, and promotion of service-based initiatives and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the specialist therapy team in the management and development of service-based initiatives and activities.
  2. Manage and maintain an active complex caseload of patients with specialist palliative care needs.
  3. Provide advanced expert therapy assessments and interventions for patients.
  4. Have active involvement in the hospice education programme to promote person-centred care.
  5. Use specialist knowledge to assess and prescribe appropriate equipment.

About You

  1. HCPC Registered physiotherapist or occupational therapist with a strong background in palliative care.
  2. Previous experience of working with and managing long-term conditions, including complex neurological and respiratory patients.
  3. Specialist knowledge of a range of treatment approaches.
  4. Leadership skills and experience of managing a team.
