Job Title: Registered Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to lead our residential care team and provide exceptional care to young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the effective day-to-day running of the residential home, ensuring compliance with OFSTED, legislation, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement safeguarding practices, leading and coordinating safeguarding matters to ensure children's safety is paramount.
  • Manage staff supervisions, appraisals, and probationary reviews, and oversee the day-to-day management of the team.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with external agencies, including Local Authorities, Police, and Health agencies.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the home.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to undertake the Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) within the relevant timeframe, if not already obtained.
  • Detailed understanding of current legislation, including Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Children's Act 1989/2014, Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018), and Health & Safety at Work Act (1974).
  • 3 years' work experience working with young people in a residential environment, including 2 years at a management level with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Previous experience in a Senior/Deputy or Registered Manager role in a Residential Children's Care Setting.
  • Experience working with young people with emotional and behavioural issues and complex needs, including challenging behaviour.
