About the Role

Our client, Barclay Meade, is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to join their team in Torquay. As a key member of the finance department, you will provide critical support to the Financial Controller in delivering high-quality financial analysis and insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to analyze project progress, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, budgets, and forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including VAT and payroll processing.
  • Contribute to the preparation of bids and proposals, ensuring accurate financial representation.
  • Prepare and present financial analysis reports to stakeholders, highlighting key trends and opportunities.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in accounting, with a UK CIMA qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a salary range of £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and paid vacation time.
