Role Overview

The Yorkshire Building Society is seeking a skilled and ambitious individual to join its Finance Team as an Assistant Accountant. About the Role

This is a full-time position based in Leeds, offering a dynamic and supportive work environment. As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for providing management information to support decision-making processes and ensuring the delivery of high-quality month-end and year-end reporting. Your key tasks will include:

  • Preparing and presenting management reports to stakeholders
  • Assisting with statutory processes and compliance
  • Supporting a range of ad-hoc reporting and financial evaluation activities
  • Developing strong relationships with colleagues across the Finance Team

What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you will possess excellent communication and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail. You should have a good understanding of finance and its operations, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Additionally, you will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be committed to your learning and development. The Yorkshire Building Society will fund your accounting qualification over 3 years, so you should be able to commit to working with us for the duration of the qualification.
