About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Digital Bid Strategist to manage our largest, most complex bids. This is a hands-on role, requiring end-to-end responsibility for bid management and response content creation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project-managing bid responses, collaborating with subject matter experts to create high-quality content
  • AUTHORING clear, compelling, compliant responses that help us achieve high scores against evaluation criteria
  • Contributing expertise and insights to enhance our approach
  • Supporting colleagues across the business to upskill on bid management and contribution

This role requires comfort with project management, content creation, and writing under tight deadlines. You'll work closely with subject matter experts to deliver compelling bids, proposals, and presentations that showcase our capabilities.

You'll join a close-knit team of Bid Managers, Coordinators, and reviewers who collaborate to achieve excellent results. If needed, they'll provide support for deadlines, query resolution, and administrative tasks. The team also works with the wider business to continually improve our bid and proposal creation approach.

About You

For this role, we're looking for someone with:

  • Recent experience in hybrid bid management/writing roles, managing and writing content for formal bids and proposals in public and private sectors
  • Experience in the technology sector, familiar with the types of work we deliver at BJSS, and able to write and manage bids after a short onboarding period
  • Experience in another related field (e.g., professional services), allowing cross-pollination of ideas from other industries
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, well-structured, and persuasive prose
  • Experience questioning, researching, reviewing, evaluating, and challenging contributions to ensure responses are top-notch
  • Leadership experience in large, varied, and time-sensitive bid response teams to success on complex bids
  • An ability to form strong working relationships and influence at all levels
  • Evidence of taking initiative for key projects in your workplace and the positive impact it has had
