Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client, a leader in heavy rotating equipment manufacturing. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work on exciting new projects within the heavy rotating equipment sector, enhancing existing designs and developing innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine design solutions from initial concepts to completion, utilizing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques where necessary.
  • Create detailed manufacturing drawings, including assembly instructions and final design specifications.
  • Oversee product realization, ensuring manufacturing processes are optimized for the best design outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate product build definitions and manage the component database.
  • Approve engineering changes and handle concessions for nonconforming products.
  • Address in-service product safety incidents, conducting risk analyses and preparing closure reports.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or at least 3 years of relevant experience with rotating or heavy engineering products.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD). Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus but not mandatory.
