Electrical Contract Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Contract Engineer to join our team at MWH Treatment. As a key member of our Delivery team, you will be responsible for coordinating an effective and economic plant design and procurement strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring project costs do not exceed tender/varied allowance
  • Ensuring all applications for payment are made on or before the due date
  • Completing contract reviews and submitting monthly forecasts on time
  • Maintaining good client relationships at all levels
  • Assisting with the Project Management strategy
  • Establishing and maintaining contract filing systems
  • Assisting in the production of the contract programme and monitoring progress
  • Providing data for the timely production of O&M manuals
  • Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Liaising with site management on design and procurement issues
  • Monitoring subcontract performance
  • Assisting in the preparation of construction completion and take over documentation
  • Ensuring continuous professional development by participating in external networking and conferences
  • Maintaining a positive and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Undertaking other duties, training, and hours of work as required
  • Presenting a professional image of the department and MWH Treatment
  • Ensuring confidentiality and working closely with design departments
  • Evaluating innovative solutions and processes
  • Contributing to risk and opportunity schedules
  • Ensuring designs are safe to construct, commission, operate, and maintain
  • Completing the capitalisation process
