Job Title: Network Test and Automation Engineer

Crimson is seeking a highly skilled Network Test and Automation Engineer to join our team in Bradford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing test plans, with a primary focus on Layer 2 and Layer 3 testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive network test automation framework and roadmap, encompassing technologies such as routing, switching, voice, wireless, security, cloud, DNS, and load balancing.
  • Design and implement automation solutions for network management, including inventory management, templating, provisioning, analysis, auditing/reporting, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Develop tools for comprehensive network monitoring and visibility, including dashboards and visualizations for real-time network state and health.
  • Integrate automation with test management platforms like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Collaborate with the team to standardize the networking environment through automation.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in developing a comprehensive network test automation framework and roadmap.
  • Expertise in scripting languages like Python and automation frameworks like Selenium and Robot.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in Layer 2 Metro Ethernet networks, Layer 3 (preferably Cisco Kit), and SDWAN (Cisco/Versa/Meraki) for management, facilitation, automation, and testing.
  • Proficient with traffic generators, Layer 3 protocols, Cisco IOS, and Versa/Cisco/Meraki SDWAN.
  • MEF certification, Layer 3 networking, Ixia traffic generators, Cisco IOX, Cisco IOS XR, Ciena SAOS 8.x.x, SAOS 10.x.x, and using Jira for sprint planning, updates, defect management, and Confluence for documentation.
