Job Title: Functional Skills Maths Tutor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Skills Maths Tutor to join our team at Gi Group. As a Functional Skills Maths Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering Maths accredited qualifications to learners on apprenticeship programmes or pre-apprenticeship programmes, helping them to gain their functional skills in Maths.

Main Duties:
  • Deliver Functional Skills across a variety of vocational subjects, ensuring learners' timely completion on Apprenticeship programmes.
  • Create, prepare and adapt teaching materials, including Google quizzes, assessments and assignments, to enable all learners to progress.
  • Prepare Curriculum Training and Assessment Plans (CTAPS), and produce and deliver individual and group exercises to achieve the Individual Training Plan and successful achievement for learners.
  • Support the training team by adapting and developing teaching resources for the teaching of Functional Skills.
  • Identify and support learners with additional learning support where required, and safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
Requirements:
  • Experience of delivering Functional Skills in Apprenticeship Programmes.
  • Experience of monitoring and tracking learner progression and achievement.
  • Level 2 in English/Literacy and Level 2 in Maths/Numeracy.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Familiarity with relevant training standards and assessment requirements.
  • Ability to travel across various locations.
