Job Overview

This role involves the development of new X-ray sources for improved image quality and threat detection capabilities in security screening systems.

You will work closely with our engineering team to support the design, prototyping, and experimental validation of new tube developments.

Responsibilities:
  • X-ray Source Development: Design and develop new X-ray sources to improve image quality and threat detection capabilities.
  • Experimental Support: Provide design and experimental support for technology development.
  • Tube Subsystem Design: Contribute to the design of key tube subsystems such as electron guns, cathode technologies, anode design, high voltage insulators, etc.
  • Experimental Validation: Carry out assembly and experimental validation of new tube developments.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and refine designs based on findings.

You will also contribute to the development of new imaging technologies and collaborate with other teams globally.

Candidate Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in experimental radiation physics or related field.
  • Experience in ultra-high vacuum and high voltage technology.
  • Strong experimental skills, including the ability to design and conduct complex experiments.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate effectively.

The ideal candidate has a PhD in experimental radiation physics or a related topic and strong understanding of X-ray dosimetry and shielding.
