Data and Measurement Advisor Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data and Measurement Advisor to join our team at Healthcare Improvement Scotland. As a key member of our Nursing and Systems Improvement Directorate, you will play a crucial role in providing expert data analysis and measurement advice to support the review and development of workload and workforce planning tools, templates, and methodologies.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of data and its application in quality assurance and improvement work. You will be responsible for capturing, analysing, interpreting, and presenting complex data to enable ease of use and understanding by a range of audiences. Your advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and/or expertise in programming packages such as R, will be essential in delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert data analysis and measurement advice to support workload and workforce planning
  • Develop and maintain data-driven tools, templates, and methodologies
  • Collaborate with Scottish Government and the Chief Nursing Officers Department (CNOD) to ensure alignment and effective delivery
  • Present complex data insights to various stakeholders, ensuring ease of understanding and use

Requirements:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and/or expertise in programming packages such as R
  • Strong understanding of data and its application in quality assurance and improvement work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
