About the Role:
We are seeking an organised and experienced individual to join our Finance team at YourRecruit as a Purchase Ledger Assistant.
Job Summary:
- Process high-volume invoices by matching purchase orders to jobs, exporting, and importing them into Sage software.
- Reconcile the purchase ledger for month-end.
- Prepare scheduled payment runs and weekly early payment runs, sending remittance advices.
- Generate supplier discount reports and update ledger credits.
- Enter expenses and credit card transactions into Sage.
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements.
- Help with monthly accruals and audit preparation.
Requirements:
- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills.
- Finance Experience: Previous experience in a purchase ledger or finance department.
- Accounting Knowledge: A foundational understanding of double-entry bookkeeping is preferred.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication with suppliers and internal departments.
- Teamwork: Positive, proactive approach to meeting team deadlines.
- Skill Requirements: Proficiency with Sage software or similar, familiarity with in-house management information systems.
