A high-level Personal Tax Manager position is available at a leading tax practice in Wigan. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the tax return process for personal clients and providing guidance to junior staff members.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Personal Tax professional to take on a leadership role within a dynamic and growing firm. You will have the autonomy to manage your own workload and make key decisions that impact the success of the team.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in preparing and reviewing self-assessment and tax returns. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to colleagues.

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes an excellent benefits package and opportunities for career progression.

About the Role

As a Personal Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Leading a team of Tax Seniors and Trainees, providing support and guidance.
  • Preparing and reviewing self-assessment and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and estates.
  • Providing guidance and tax planning services to clients.
  • Researching technical issues and supporting planning projects.
  • General management of tax billing process including monthly WIP management.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Strong Personal Tax experience within a practice environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to colleagues.
