Facilities Assistant Role
Leigh Academy Tonbridge is seeking a dedicated and motivated Facilities Assistant to join their collaborative team. The successful candidate will assist the Estates Team with the care of the academy premises, including general maintenance duties, minor repairs, and refurbishment works. This role will also involve porterage, security, and other duties to ensure the health, safety, and security of the academy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Estates Team with general maintenance duties, including minor repairs and refurbishment works.
- Contribute to the care of the academy premises, ensuring a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Support the Facilities Manager in ensuring the health, safety, and security of the academy.
- Perform porterage and other duties as required.
- Work collaboratively with the Estates Team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Person Specification
- Trustworthy and reliable with a flexible approach to working hours and duties.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy objects.
- Conscientious and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good DIY skills and knowledge of Health & Safety.
- Basic IT skills and understanding of safeguarding.

Working Hours
The successful candidate will work part-time, Monday to Friday, with varying shifts to include:
- Monday to Thursday: 3pm to 6pm.
- Friday: 2pm to 6pm.
