Job Description:
The Occupational Therapy Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Occupational Therapist in planning, implementing, and evaluating therapy and care plans to promote the mental, emotional, physical, and social well-being of assigned clients.
You will work alongside the Occupational Therapist and other members of the multidisciplinary team to identify patients' occupational needs.
This involves providing assistance with daily living activities, facilitating groups and 1:1 sessions, and recording and reporting patient involvement.
Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate and timely records, proposing new ideas for service delivery, and participating in regular team meetings and training.
Requirements:
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally; provides written and verbal information in a concise manner
- GCSE / O-Levels (A-C)/NAT 5's (1-3) / Standard Grades or relevant NVQ2 experience
- Facilitate groups and 1:1 sessions with patients (psycho education, goal setting, life skills, cooking sessions, community groups)
