Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse to fill the role of Junior Sister/Charge Nurse in our Imaging and Interventional Radiology Department at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. This is a senior nursing position that requires a dynamic and multi-skilled individual who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and coordinate specialist treatment within the department
- Assess inpatients and outpatients, plan, implement, and manage care
- Carry out specialist nursing procedures with Radiology specialists
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and during aftercare
- Provide specialist advice to patients and carers
- Undertake research and lead clinical audits in specialist areas
- Supervise a team of nursing and support staff
- Train new and junior staff

Person Specification
- Registered Nurse - NMC
- Mentorship, teaching, or assessing courses
- Able to administer medication and hold a valid IV medication and cannulation certificate
- Experience as a 'scrub' nurse
