Job Title: Operations Director

You will be responsible for the efficient operation of the day-to-day business for Projects, Operations and Site functions. Work with and support the Project Managers, Technical Director and operations team to ensure projects are delivered safely on budget. Effectively manage the in-house and external delivery teams to promote a positive and efficient working environment. Accountable to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support and work with the Project Managers and operations support team to ensure a high standard of project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Work with the company finance teams to maintain budget, forecast revenue and ensure appropriate credit control is in place.
  • In harmony with the company technical and sales functions, maintain appropriate Accreditations and procedures including for Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) to ensure company compliance.
  • Negotiate & liaise with suppliers and clients to optimise project terms including reviewing contractual and financial terms and conditions.
  • Troubleshoot challenges and issues as they arise, including liaising with key Clients on a regular basis to maintain relationship.
  • Conduct post-implementation review of jobs highlighting areas for improvement.

Person Specification:

  • Significant experience in construction-based activities - preferably renewables, electrical or civil engineering.
  • Comfortable working as part of a fast-paced, growing team.
  • Must be delivery-driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives.
  • Excellent communication, people management & organisation skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in IT systems including Microsoft office suite.
  • Experience of Project Management and ideally working with and supporting project managers.
