About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recruitment Officer to join our People Team at Hobbycraft. As a key member of our recruitment function, you will be responsible for leading the recruitment process, including day-to-day administration and coordination of all recruitment for our entire store estate and Head Office.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders from all levels of the business, staying up to date with current and relevant employment legislation, and advising colleagues accordingly. You will also be responsible for overseeing the effective administration of the recruitment process, including general administrative duties and recruitment inboxes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders from all levels of the business
  • Stay up to date with current and relevant employment legislation and advise colleagues accordingly
  • Oversee the effective administration of the recruitment process, including general administrative duties and recruitment inboxes
  • Undertake and organise the screening, shortlisting, interviews, and selection of candidates as required
  • Identify and source suitable recruitment channels to the business, minimising costs
  • Community outreach, including attending careers fairs, job events, and seminars
  • Develop creative sourcing techniques to expand on the talent pool
  • Oversee the recruitment budget, ensuring compliance
  • Manage recruitment advertisements through all appropriate channels
  • Day-to-day management of external Recruitment Agencies
  • Update job descriptions and engage adverts for various positions
  • Deliver training to colleagues in relation to recruitment
About You
  • Proven in-house recruitment experience or previous experience working within a HR/Recruitment department
  • Experience of working with candidate databases
  • Regular use of online job sites, including LinkedIn, to source talent
  • Experience of recruiting with multiple job disciplines
  • Stakeholder management at all levels
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisation and administration skills
  • Used to working at pace to tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
