Director of Engagement and Partnerships

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Director of Engagement and Partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our public engagement and communications department, developing and implementing strategies to promote our work and engage with local communities.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leadership and management, with experience in managing teams and budgets. They will be responsible for developing and delivering effective communication plans, working closely with our Chief Executive and other senior staff.
This role requires a strong understanding of the importance of community outreach and development, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be confident in their ability to promote our work and values, and will be passionate about engaging with local communities.
Key Responsibilities- To develop and implement effective communication strategies that promote our work and engage with local communities.
- To manage and motivate a team of education, community, communications and visitor centre staff.
- To work closely with our Chief Executive and other senior staff to develop and deliver organisational policies and strategies.
- To be responsible for the preparation and monitoring of the department's budget and any special project budgets.
- To develop and oversee project work, including project development from initial concept stage and funding applications.
- To generate earned income through visitor centre café, education, events and corporate partnerships.

- Confident in their ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Strong networker with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving targets and objectives.
We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - 70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
