Agency Community Chemotherapy Nurse Role

We are seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team at Leaders in Care, working across Hounslow and surrounding areas of London. Our client, a leading specialist in Cancer Care, requires a Community Chemotherapy Practitioner to deliver vital oncology treatments to patients in their own homes.

This unique role offers a competitive hourly rate of circa £43-£48, negotiable, working Monday to Friday 37 hours. Our client provides a supportive environment where nurses can thrive, with access to the latest technologies and therapies in oncology.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Administering IV and oral chemotherapy treatments
  2. Conducting blood tests and toxicity assessments
  3. Managing pump disconnections and line care
  4. Performing IM/SC injections
  5. Collaborating with a wider nursing team while working independently
  6. Staying updated with new technologies and therapies
Package and Benefits:

The Agency Community Chemotherapy Nurse role offers a comprehensive package, including:

  1. Competitive hourly rates of circa £43-£48ph
  2. 45p per mile petrol expenses
  3. Monday to Friday hours pm
  4. Guaranteed work of 6 months, potentially longer
  5. Visiting no more than 4 patients per day
  6. Full and comprehensive induction, including 2-3 weeks shadow shifts
Requirements:

The ideal Agency Community Chemotherapy Nurse will have:

  1. An active NMC Pin as a Registered RGN Nurse
  2. Essential experience in Oncology, Haematology, or Chemotherapy
  3. Skills in cannulation and venepuncture
  4. A valid driving licence
  5. A SACT Passport or equivalent qualification
