Job Title: Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist - Patient Flow Coordinator

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team as a Patient Flow Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all administration processes and operational issues effectively.

Main Duties:

  • Contribute to the smooth running of the service on a daily basis, assisting the Discharge Coordinating team within Patient flow to ensure that Key reports and Quality and Performance targets are met.
  • Support the delivery of services across Patient Flow and in developing standardised administration processes.
  • Provide supervision and support with the management of Patient flow coordinator including: recruitment, selection, workload allocation, performance management, PDR, absences and cover arrangements where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in administration, business or management (or significant experience in an administrative role)
  • Recent experience of working in a mental health or social care setting- inpatient hospital setting /community.
  • Highly competent user of MS Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Email, internet
  • Experience of using large databases
  • Arranging bookings for meetings and workshops.
  • Diary management and taking/transcribing minutes
  • Experience of recruitment, performance and absence management, development, appraisal, training, work allocation
  • Using initiative and problem solving/improving office systems and procedures
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of differing needs of service users with different disabilities and clinical conditions.
  • Experience of resolving conflict effectively
