Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Careers Guidance Professional to join our Advice & Recruitment Team at Newham Sixth Form College. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert career guidance services to our students, helping them to develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding needed for successful career planning and management.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have significant relevant experience in careers guidance and hold a Level 6 qualification. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality career guidance interviews, workshops, and other activities to support our students in achieving their career goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one career guidance interviews to students to help them explore their career options and develop a career plan.
  • Deliver group workshops and presentations on career development, job search strategies, and interview skills.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local employers and education providers to provide students with opportunities for work experience and career development.
  • Contribute to the development of our careers guidance program, including the design and delivery of careers education and guidance activities.
