About the Role

ShelterBox is seeking a highly motivated and organized HR Generalist to provide administrative support to the People Team. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the efficient running of the department and assist in the delivery of a supportive, employee-oriented organisational culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Team, including recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
  • Manage HR-related documentation, including employee files, absence management, and employment records.
  • Generate and report on monthly and quarterly people metrics.
  • Assist with HR project and strategy work, including information management of the HRIS and employee file auditing.
  • Support internal communications, including organisational updates, wellbeing, and staff newsletters.
  • Diary management support for the Director of People.
  • Provide administrative support for the Learning & Development (L&D) Team and Volunteer Development Manager.
Requirements
  • Achievement of, or study toward, your CIPD Level 3 is preferable but is not essential.
  • Knowledge of basic employment law and HR practices would be advantageous for the role.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and database reporting.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with different individuals and teams, both internal and external to ShelterBox.
