About DNA Nudge:

This is a FTC - Maternity cover for up to a year. We are seeking a skilled Mobile App Developer to join our team at DNA Nudge, a company that generates a profound and long-term impact on health and wellbeing through technology.

Primary Objective:
Our ideal candidate will design and develop an Android App that communicates with cloud and hardware products such as our DnaBand and NudgeBox.

Responsibilities:
As a hands-on Android App developer, you will evaluate, maintain, and develop software. You will also maintain and create documentation related to App development, prototype, debug, and develop software and apps. Additionally, you will gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions.

A good team player:
You will work with architect, app developers, UX designer, management, etc. You will be dedicated and responsible for protecting the confidential matters, intellectual properties, and trade-secrets of the company.

Education:
We require a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent).

Required Skills and Experience:
You must have at least 5+ years of experience in Android app development. You should have strong OO design and programming skills in Java & Kotlin, excellent debugging and optimization skills, and the ability to perform unit and instrumentation tests on code. You should also have published commercial mobile applications on Google PlayStore and excellent scoping, estimation, and testing/QA skills.

Desired Skills and Experience:
Familiarity with different AWS Service integration for Android apps – AWS Cognito, AppSync, API Gateway, S3, Pinpoint etc. is a plus. You should also have good integration skills of 3rd party frameworks and SDKs for Android, experience in integrating native code with Android applications using NDK (Native Development Kit), and knowledge of SQLite, MySQL, or similar database management system. Experience in developing social media features is also a plus.
