We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Care Home Administrator to join our team at Brook Street. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient management of our care home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support
    • Manage the day-to-day administration of the care home, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Liaise with key staff in other departments to ensure procedures operate effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Financial Management
    • Process payroll hours on a weekly basis, ensuring timely completion of monthly payroll runs.
    • Monitor staff sickness, absences, and holiday entitlements.
    • Manage petty cash and maintain monthly reconciliations.
  • Purchasing and Inventory
    • Maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring timely submission of invoices to head office.
    • Manage stock of stationery and other supplies.
  • Resident Support
    • Distribute resident personal allowances, maintaining accurate records and receipts.
    • Report admissions and discharges to head office.
  • Business Development
    • Support the provision of advice and guidance to clients and staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
    • Deal with inquiries from new and existing customers, providing information about Brook Street.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other administrative software.
