About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Officer to join our team at Spencer Clarke Group. As a key member of our housing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional tenancy and leasehold management services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day tenancy, leasehold, and licence agreements, ensuring compliance and addressing breaches.
  • Conduct tenancy audits to enhance business intelligence on residents and properties.
  • Support vulnerable residents by linking them with local services and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Provide advice and signpost residents to services for tenancy, estate, and housing management.
  • Manage tenancy change applications and handle legal processes related to tenancy breaches.
  • Lead on anti-social behaviour cases, including enforcement actions and tribunal representation.

About You:

  • Experience in tenancy and leasehold management within a housing sector.
  • Experience handling complex cases such as illegal occupancy, subletting, and domestic violence.
  • Strong knowledge of housing and leasehold legislation, including tenancy law and anti-social behaviour management.
  • Experience conducting tenancy audits and managing housing stock efficiently.
  • Previous involvement in multi-agency meetings or case conferences to resolve housing issues.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary: £2+ph (may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates based on experience)
  • Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
